Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome (CPPS) is a common and frequently undiagnosed problem effecting hundreds of thousands of people in the UK. This group is here to help you make your way through the confusion, misdiagnosis and treatment choices. Anyone who thinks they may be effected by CPPS is welcome to join.
Its claimed that 84% of the United Kingdom's adult population will experience at least one episode of back pain at some point in their lives, for many people this becomes a chronic ongoing problem. I hope we can discuss issues such as; informing the police, taking legal action, using the NHS, exercise classes, private health and employers. Is there a confusing array of advice, treatments options and therapies, which do you choose? and why? What works and how long will this take? (& cost?) …

A monthly group for anybody who has repetitive strain injury/carpal tunnel syndrome or pain in hands or arms after too much computer work. We will offer four therapies in a half day session, all in a group: trigger point therapy (a form of physio), upper body Pilates, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy to understand the mindbody connection in RSI) and Alexander technique for posture. All these have helped me.
Do you want to get fit but feel daunted by the prospect of a long, sweaty, painful, drawn out jog in the park with no one to talk to? No pain no gain they say but does keeping fit really have to mean punishment? Here at Walking For Fitness the answer is no and everyone is welcome to join us! This Meetup is inspired by a week long walking holiday I took two years ago in Switzerland by the end of which time I realised a walk is actually as good as a run! That and the fact I've never been very good …
Hello! My name is Juliette Jeanclaude. I decided to start this group because I'm an artist passionate about self-development. I'm actively creative as a painter but my confidence is not everyday as strong as I'd like. I used to be shy and I couldn't lead any work without the approval of my parents or my teachers. So I started a lot of artistic projects but as soon as I heard a voice saying "it"s not good enough" (either in my head or from my teachers) I stopped. Have you ever experienced that "n …
… Being a survivor is simply having the ability to bounce back from all those painful scenarios that life throws at us, which is pretty awesome in itself. In fact Sylvester Stallone said "It's not how hard you hit, but how hard you can get hit, and get back up again" apparently, thats how winning is done. That might be fine in the ring, but it really sucks in relationship. What's even more depressing is that our "hits" are like patterns. Created by our own life experience, learnings, peers, belief …

… This group hopefully will bring us altogether so we can talk about it and eventually let go of the pain to heal quicker and become stronger! You are not alone in your pain as I am going through a break up myself and sometimes you need to have break up buddy's, people who has been there or is there and who understand and will listen. We need the strength and courage to get to the finish line of the healing process. So let's support each other! I know it is tough but we WILL feel a lot better if w …
The Love and Light Circle is a group of people who meditate together. Meditation on our own is in the beginning often very difficult. A group for London-based Technical Leaders to meet and discuss new technologies and share experiences of technology deployments in their organisations. I'm sure you get bombarded with ads for technologies to optimise this, and reduce the TCO of that, but which of those actually work, and which aren't worth the pain? Hear the reality behind technology hype and share experiences with other people in similar roles to yours. This group is open to CTOs, CIOs, Chief Architects, Technical Directors, …
… You could say it's something you do on your own, but there might be some things that you would like to share, the pain and the pleasure perhaps. It works something like this. You get a stirring inside that says something like, 'I want to pay my respects to something or someone, feel alive, overcome all obstacles in my path, connect with spirit, the natural world, achieve something really worthwhile, life long ambition.' To follow much of what Joseph Campbell wrote when he described the hero's jo …

… I mean, I respect that, welcome to the club, I know the pain and the name of the group did come out of anger and depression. But as much as being JUST fun and positive etc is a stupid, idiotic, disgusting creed, negating the fact that we also want to enjoy life is also negating a part of ourselves. I read recently a doctor saying that depression may as well actually be caused by a deep liking of life, I agree with that. The fact is, when I go out I do not want to BE fun or whatever, I just want …

… Even in the most difficult and painful times we can find a way to turn towards the light. My love affair with yoga started only a few years ago and looking back at this time I can see this massive progress and transformation in my life and that is one of the reasons I want to teach YOGA to share that incredible experience with others.I want all of my students to leave my class feeling better about himself , empowered by the revelation of his Divine nature. Want to take time to relax? Why not try some group mindfulness meditation? We run sessions in both Central and South West London. Although many people think it is difficult, after a little practice, it comes very naturally. Millions of people practice all over the world, so they must be something in it. … Inevitably, this will consist in great deal of the grist of life, the pain, the fears, the limitations…the challenges that we all face in our lives. No parts of us, however ghastly we may judge them, are unacceptable. But we will also share in a celebration of all that is beautiful and exquisite. Together we will share, speaking and listening in turn, receiving with vulnerability the wisdom of insight from others. Many people, especially those newly beckoned to the pursuit of the spiritual life, …
